Mattheos Ioannou Motors Agency Limited the “Motors Agency” is part of the Mattheos Ioannou Group of Companies and was founded by Mattheos Ioannou, the chairperson of our group. Growing up in Cyprus, A childhood dream which gave birth to an empire, Mattheos had always had a keen interest in cars and the fascinating automotive world. In 1978, shortly after turning 18 and obtaining his driving licence he bought his first car, which he immediately re-sold for a profit. Within a year he had traded 6 cars and so, in 1979 at the age of 19 he decided to buy and sell used cars on a full-time professional basis.We’ve called Limassol, our home from our humble beginnings- the first bonded yard housed a mere 4 cars. However, over the years and through hard work and impeccable client service, the business grew and in March 1983, Mattheos incorporated Motors Agency. Over the years Motors Agency has continued to grow and we moved to bigger and bigger bonded yards to enable us to stock a larger number of cars and better serve our diverse client-base. In 1999, we moved to our current bonded yard at Elassonos 2 Street in Limassol.
On a personal level, Mattheos was elected President of the Cyprus Cars Trading Association (Παγκύπριος Σύνδεσμος Εμπορίας Αυτοκινήτων (ΠΑ.Σ.Ε.Α.)) for 13 consecutive years (2000-2013) which is a testament to the enormous respect he commands amongst used cars professionals.
We are an independent family-run company working with a number of partners and we are one of the oldest and best established car dealerships in Cyprus. We stock a large number of Japanese and European used cars and over the years we have developed amazing contacts in the industry. As a result we believe we can provide our clients with vehicles of a quality that is unmatched by other car dealerships. As a reflection of the trust we have in our stock, all of our vehicles include a minimum 12-months’ warranty.
